R&P Post 29: Rehearshals

To ensure that we had enough time in the studio we met with the other groups and allocated each group time throughout our test shoot week.
Our group's time is indicated by the orange slots, showing that we had a whole day and a half in the studio which was very useful for us as we were able to power through our rehearshals and dedicate as much time as was needed to perfecting all aspects of our video, particularly Luke's acting and the lighting we would require.

After being allocated our time slots we made a more detailed plan of what we wanted to do within our time frame. This was incredibly helpful as it meant we were all always on the same page and everyone always had something to do.

Our lighting was particularly troublesome as when we got the opportunity to try out different styles and effects we could create we were unsure of whether infinite white was the best choice.
On our schedule we had dedicated time to testing out face paints however after seeing the outcome we scrapped the idea. Below I have included images of the effects but we did not like the way the white UV paint came out on our actors skin so we are no longer using this concept.
I was in charge of doing the face paint
on our actors.
Not in Uv light and in UV light.

We had some sessions were it was only myself and Alistair in the studio so we dedicated this time to practising my guitar moves and different camera angles we could use. We also choreographed some moves that Amber and I would later perform in our real shoot but for the time being we practised in the studio.

Below I have created a behind the scenes video of us clearing up and listening to Luke tell some jokes.

Having looked at our footage, we made a list of what needs to be improved:

- We need more one on one time with Luke so that we can give him some actions to fall back on when he is unsure of what to do.
- We will try more of a variety of angles when filming the paper scene- perhaps from a low angle.
- All our band members need to focus on their facial epressions and really connote their passion.
